Privacy Policy

Donkeyshin, LLC builds and runs a small number of independent apps. This policy covers the company and this website.

The short version. This website collects nothing. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. If you use the contact form, what you type is emailed to me so I can reply, and nothing else happens to it.

Each app has its own policy

Every Donkeyshin app is separate. It has its own database, its own accounts, and its own privacy policy, and that policy is the one that governs the app.

This page does not describe any app. When an app is published, its policy is linked from its own website and from its store listing. Read that one to find out what the app stores.

Four things are true of every app, and are stated here so they are on record:

• There is no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking across apps or websites.
• No profile is built about you, and nothing you make is used to train anything.
• Your data is never sold, and never shared for advertising.
• Using one app tells the others nothing about you. They share code. They never share data.

This website

This website is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no tracking pixel, and no advertising. There is nothing here to consent to.

Cloudflare serves the pages and keeps short-lived operational logs, which is an ordinary part of running a web server and protecting it from abuse. I do not use those logs to identify readers, and I do not combine them with anything else.

The contact form

If you send the contact form, the name, email address, and message you type are emailed to info@donkeyshin.com.

• It is used to answer you, and for nothing else.
• It is not added to a mailing list. There is no marketing email and no newsletter.
• It stays in that mailbox until it is no longer useful, and is then deleted.
• Nothing you send is passed to anyone else.

If you would rather not use the form, email info@donkeyshin.com directly. The result is the same.

Who else touches it

Cloudflare, and nobody else. It hosts this website, routes email sent to donkeyshin.com, and delivers the email the contact form generates.

Cloudflare handles that data only to run this website, and provides the same or equal protection of it as this policy describes.

Each app names the processors it uses in its own policy, and that list may be different from this one.

How it is kept safe

This website is served over HTTPS only, with HSTS. The contact form posts to this site and nowhere else. Email sent from donkeyshin.com is authenticated with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you have the right to see the data held about you, correct it, delete it, take a copy elsewhere, or object to how it is handled.

For anything to do with this website, email info@donkeyshin.com and I will do it. For an app, read that app’s policy, which sets out the controls built into it. You can also complain to your local data protection regulator.

Where it is stored

This website runs on Cloudflare’s global network, so a request may be handled in a country other than your own. It is protected the same way wherever it is handled.

Children

Nothing here is aimed at children, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If what this website collects changes, this page changes with it and the date above moves.
